Apart from ensuring that we participate in responsible ways to procure green coffee, we are proud to lessen our carbon foot print consciously with our roasting method. Our air-roasted coffee reduces CO2 emissions by up to 80% compared to traditional roasting methods. Drum roasting requires a large amount of energy to heat up the large metal cage that the beans are roasted in. It usually takes a good 30 minutes for the drum to get warm enough to roast a batch of beans. This process typically relies on fossil fuels like natural gas or propane as an energy source. Air roasters are ready to roast as soon as they are turned and are significantly more eco-friendly. By choosing air roasted coffee you can make a conscious effort to reduce their carbon footprint and support more sustainable practices in the coffee industry.
